Welding of the 6th lot of the 3rdWest to East gas pipeline has begun on June 15th, 2022 in Lantian County, Shanxi Province.

The 3^rd West to East gas pipeline is a major project implemented by PipeChina to speed up the construction of energy infrastructure. It is planned to be completed and put into operation in 2024, with a design annual gas transmission capacity of 25 billion cubic meters. 

After the completion of the 3rd West to East gas pipeline project, the gas from Central Asia, Xinjiang SNG, gas from Tarim, Junggar and other domestic resources can be networked, which is not only conducive to accelerating the development of downstream markets, but also taking into account the orderly introduction of intake gas and the smooth development of domestic gas, so as to realize the mutual supplement and flexible allocation of natural gas resources, which is conducive to ensuring national energy security. Xionggu pipeline internal automatic welding machines and dual torch external automatic welding machine are used in welding of the 6thlot of the project by contractor Sichuan Oil Engineering & Construction Co., Ltd.
